At present there are many private Hindi entertainment and Hindi news channels.These news channels cover mostly North India and particularly Delhi giving an impression that DD means Delhi Darshan. Whereas for South India only DD channels such as DD MALAYALAM, DD PODIGAI,DD SAPTAGIRI ETC are available.
Kindly add more South Indian FTA channels such as SVBC, ZEE TAMIZH, SUN NEWS,PUDIYA THALAIMURAI,THANTHI TV,AMRITA TV,

If you are using a. DD Free set top box,then all the channels you are receiving are FTA (free to air) channels..If you are interested in knowing more, then open the web site WWW.TRACKSAT -click satellites-then click Asia region-then click INSAT 4B.-You will see names of lot of channels.There are 2 satellites at 93.5 deg E.Go along the horizontal column of Insat 4B and select the number corresponding number in FTA vertical column.You can see the list of free to air channels. However we see only those transmitted by DD Free. If you want add a new fta channel then you have to manually add in your set top box..You will get that channel only if that channel is trasmitted at that moment that too in FTA mode.
Likewise you can try to receive fta channels from satellite NSS 6 at 95 deg E.With slight adjustment of your dish you can receive more fta channels

DD free has included 32 private FTA Hindi channels and made it DELHI DARSHAN. Please make it DAKSHIN DARSHAN also by adding at least 10 South Indian language channels such as AMRITA and KAIRALI (both Malayalam channels),MAKKAL TV and THANTHI TVTV (both Tamil channels),KASTURI (Kannada channels),SVBC,MAA TV, MAA TV GOLD, ETV(all Telugu channels).
This will make DD FREE a real DESH DARSHAN.
