ABL
The Multilayer Laminated Tubes (lamitube) made from laminates with aluminium foil barrier combine the excellent barrier advantages of traditional metal tubes & the attractive visual and tactile feel of the plastic tubes.
The ABL tubes give good “collapsible” effect which is desirable where precise dispensing of the product is required. Today, ABL tubes are not only used for toothpaste applications, but also increasingly for cosmetics, food, pharmaceutical and household and industrial applications.

PBL
PBL tubes or Laminated Tubes are made completely of plastic with the barrier layer being made of Ethyl Vinyl alcohol (EVOH) plastic granules. EVOH is primarily used in applications where the packaging needs to look extra attractive, especially cosmetic products.
Laminated Tubes made of all plastic layers can be completely transparent and make the final product packed inside the tube visible to the customers. These tubes are passed through conventional metal detectors.
Laminate Structure: 300/15, 310/15 & 390/9.

Multilayer Laminated Tubes
This is a 5 Layer film with PET in the middle layer. PET provides very strong barrier properties and is one among the most recommended barrier for plastic tubes. This is ideally suited to pack cosmetics both cream & gel based, food items and specific industrial chemicals having medium to high viscosity.
Oxygen & moisture being treat for any product, preservation is made easy with the use of this barrier.
Maximum Use temperature which PET can withstand is 204⁰ Celsius.
Oxygen Barrier: (cc /0.001 inch/100 inch 2/24 hr).
Polyethylene Terephthalate – 5.0.
Water Vapour Barrier: (g/1002 in/24 hr at 90% RH).
Polyethylene Terephthalate – 1.3.

This is a 5 Layer film with EVOH in the middle layer. EVOH provides very strong barrier properties and is one among the most recommended barrier for plastic tubes. This is ideally suited to pack cosmetics both cream & gel based, food items and specific industrial chemicals having medium to high viscosity.
Oxygen & moisture being treat for any product, preservation is made easy with the use of this barrier. However, EVOH has a tendency to absorb moisture.
EVOH is ecofriendly and can be recycled easily.

This is extended in the manufacturing of Caps & Closure with cavitation ranging from 32 to 64 from hot runner molds developed with some of the worlds’ best mold makers. Cycle time ranges between 8 to 20 seconds based on component weight when manufactured under controlled environment using Toggle & Servo driven injection molding machines.

Producing tubes with lesser thickness of laminate is always a challenge for tube manufacturers. However, in order to reduce plastic consumption JAMUNA PACKERS emphasizes the right choice of laminate to best suit product requirement. This is applicable for both ABL & PBL tubes and JAMUNA PACKERS has been successful in implementing the same wherein alternate structure can be used without compromising on the aesthetics.
The R&D team works closely with client to work out the possibilities and tests the tubes formed with thin laminates under controlled & uncontrolled conditions before recommending a structure.
